  • Overview

    The Company is seeking a motivated, flexible self-starter to play a vital role in the financial planning functions in support of the corporate departments. This role will serve as the admin for planning system ensuring accuracy of data and reporting. This individual will be collaborative, innovative, and ready to drive process improvements within the team.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage the budgeting, forecasting and planning process for the corporate departments
    • Act as the financial business partner to these functions, providing analytical insight into their day-to-day operations to help drive efficiencies and promote financially viable decisions
    • Liaise with the finance organization, including accounting, to make sure accuracy and timeliness of reporting and invoice processing
    • Analyze business results and provide concise and directive reporting
    • Assist in preparation of materials for the Board of Director meetings
    • Develop key metrics to use in evaluating projects; provide quantitative view of ROI
    • Participate in the strategic planning for all function’s long-range plan
    • Serve as a utility player within the finance department
    • Recommend the development and implementation of new processes, policies, systems and tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency
    • May own additional ad hoc projects

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years in investment banking, consulting or at a global retail company or a minimum of 2-5 years experience in planning, with financial analysis, and/or strategic development
    • FP&A experience a plus
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Excel & Powerpoint
    • Active collaborator, yet can diplomatically advocate for his/her point of view
    • Strong communication skills
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and adjusts to shifting priorities with appropriate sense of urgency
    • Exhibits strong problem solving skills
    • Capable of analyzing detail as a means to deliver the big picture message
    • Experience in TM1, SAP or Hyperion is a plus
