  • Overview

    The Compensation Manager will provide compensation expertise on compensation programs and practices that focus on attracting, retaining and rewarding our talent.  Key compensation responsibilities include implementation of compensation programs including creating and maintaining related information to selecting, participating and completing benchmark analysis of surveys; overseeing analysis and forecasting related to programs; and providing compensation support. 

    Responsibilities

     

    • Perform market pricing evaluations of new and revised positions and provide recommendations for positions as well as for offers to candidates
    • In partnership with HR team, provide guidance to client groups on pay decisions, policies, guidelines and communications
    • Collaborate with HR team to provide issue resolutions for compensation related inquiries and monitor the DYCompensation mailbox for timely follow-up to inquiries
    • Assist with the execution of the Performance Management and Bonus Cycle with regards to the process flow, and compensation review
    • Administer Incentive Program Calculations and Sales Commission Program in partnership with Finance and Payroll to ensure that all calculations are audited and processed accordingly
    • Participate in the annual compensation salary survey process, as well as as adhoc surveys throughout the year to ensure market competitiveness
    • Communicate incentive plan results, trends and findings based on business needs
    • Conduct exempt testing to determine appropriate FLSA status of new and updated positions
    • Leverage best practices and technology for continuous improvement in compensation administration and processes
    • Maintain historical database of all compensation related communications, policies and procedures and final publishings
    • Conducts ad-hoc research and compensation modeling in support of project assignments including presentation of findings and recommendations
    • Support the HR team and business partners with building compensation reports, and providing analyses and recommendations where needed
    • Participate in special projects as needed

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years within Compensation and Human Resources
    • Retail Compensation experience preferred
    • Knowledge of commission based incentive structures
    • Knowledge of all facets of compensation including base pay, market surveys, job evaluations and grading structures and variable pay programs
    • Demonstrated ability work within a fast-paced work environment and quickly adapt to the changing needs and demands of the business
    • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills
    • Education: 4 year-Bachelor's degree with equivalent course work
    • Strong analytical skills - with the ability to analyze, interpret and communicate data to all levels within the organization
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential data
    • Systems saavy - demonstated ability to adapt to and learn new systems; experience with Oracle HCM preferred; but not required
    • Computer Skills: Advance knowledge of Excel required, Proficient in Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
